After a great performance in the Grand Final, Thomas 'Paco' Cole crowns himself new World Champion in TrackMania for the first time!

Re-live the final match

Grand Final

HE HAS DONE IT! Thomas 'Paco' Cole can finally call himself World Champion in TrackMania. After getting into the game pretty well from the start of the match, he had a decent lead of 13 points after the first two maps. And although his teammate and biggest threat in the final, Carl-Antoni 'CarlJr' Cloutier, is known for turning up when it matters the most, Paco was too strong for him today. He didn't let go of his lead, made sure CarlJr wouldn't get the momentum swing he needed and secured the final points as well as the round win he needed after becoming Finalist on the fourth map!

He thereby takes home €3,000 in prize money as well as his first World Championship being 18 years of age.

Way to the Grand Final

After two days of racing, we have arrived at the Grand Final of the Maniaplanet World Cup 2016 - and the two winner bracket final winners are out of our squad.

CarlJr has shown a tremendous performance throughout the whole tournament so far. After being second after both Time Attacks, he has dominated in all three of his winner bracket elimination matches, where he has come out first in every single one of those.

Paco has proven that he is close to being able to show that kind of performances as well. Being placed fifth after the Time Attacks, he has shown similar promise in finishing two of his three matches on first place and only being second to CarlJr in the third one.

The Grand Final will start at 12pm CET, so make sure to catch our Social Media coverage LIVE from Paris!

Starting Saturday, November 5th at around 11:00 CET, the 16 fastest guys in esports go head-to-head to find out who can keep up the highest pace.
