The Only Constant is Change

Team Expert Releases BadBenny

Blizzcon is over, this year’s HGC has come to an end and so all teams are allowed to make changes to their rosters. The so called ‘Rosterpocalypse’ has started! There were already a couple of announcements from different teams. Team Liquid parts ways with Blumbi and darkmok, Bakery leaves Team Dignitas, Diamond Skin loses three members (Cris, Sportbilly and Ethernal) and GranPkt and POILK leave Team Zealots (former Team Wish).

And Team Expert will be no exception, says Uwe Semtner, General Manager of Team expert:

"Today we announce that we will release our former main tank ‘BadBenny’. The esports scene is growing and changing, and so are the players who participate in this scene. And if someone has a great opportunity one should support him and not deny this chance. With a heavy heart we let Benny go and we wish him all the best for his future. He was always a good mate and led Team Expert pretty successful through the year. The team made very fast progress and was able to secure the 2nd place at the Western Clash in Kiev and made it to the Blizzcon where the HGC Finals took place. Team Expert managed to get to the top 4 worldwide and we all are very satisfied by the results. We appreciate all that he has accomplished while on Team Expert and are curious, what will happen in the future. Therefor I like to thank BadBenny for his great job within Team expert and would like to wish him all the best for his future esports career. Expect an announcement during the next days who will take his place in Team Expert and complete the roster."

This is a statement from BadBenny:

"First of all I want to thank my old teammates, especially athero and nic, for all the good times we had which I will really miss. We as a team went from qualifying for hgc in the first qualifier, but still kind of as a wildcard. We worked so hard to break through into the top, and 6 months and a roster swap later we made it to western clash where we finished 2nd. We did a fun showmatch at gamescom, and then qualified and played at blizzcon, where we managed to get top 4. in the world. That is a pretty good run I would say, and I am glad we ended on a high note. I wish all of you the best of luck in the future and hope to see you in the upcoming events ;)
Next I want to thank expert and Uwe especially for all the support during the year, being able to bootcamp both in the gaming houe and then in seoul was amazing and I will always be thankful for that. It was really nice working with you and I hope we made you proud. Maybe we will meet again in the future, who knows! If not, best of luck with everything."
