ByuN falls in the quarter-finals, Ladies lose in the semis

With ByuN being out of the tournament, this concludes our IEM experience.

Saturday:

ByuN falls in the quarter-finals to Stats, with a final score of 1-3. He put up a good fight, but in the end, the semifinals will consist of aLiveTYDark and Stats and will resume tomorrow morning.

Friday:

The girls lose the best-of-three to Team Secret in a nail-biter.

  • 16-10 on Cache
  • 5-16 on Inferno
  • 12-16 on Cobblestone

Tomorrow, it will be ByuN in action again.

Thursday:

Our CS:GO ladies make it to the semi-finals.

  • 6-16 vs. CLG.Red
  • 16-4 vs. silouhette
  • 16-11 vs. LDLC

Their next match will be on Friday at 15:00 CET against Team Secret.

ByuN advances into the quarter-finals.

  • ByuN 2-0 HeRoMaRinE
  • ByuN 2-0 herO
  • ByuN 2-1 Snute
  • ByuN 2-0 Solar

With Snute beating Ryung in the last game of the group, this performance is enough for him to go directly into the round-of-8.

Monday:

Unfortunately, Bly already had to travel back home after suffering losses against Stats and Snute.

  • Round-of-16: Bly 2-0 Damrud
  • Quarterfinals: Bly 2-1 TLO
  • Semi-finals: Bly 0-2 Stats
  • Losers' round 4: Bly 1-2 Snute

The ladies as well as ByuN will join in on the action on Thursday.

Within the scope of the IEM World Championship, Intel will host the Intel Challenge 2017 where the eight best female Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams will fight for $30,000 prize money - and when we talk about the best teams in the female CS:GO scene, our very own lineup can not be neglected.

Our girls around Lisa 'shifty' Catino were able to qualify via the first ESEA qualifier where they eliminated teams like nEophyte and Property to go all the way.

On Thursday, March 2nd and Friday, March 3rd, our girls will face teams like invited teams CLG.Red and Team Secret as well as fellow qualifiers like Property (who made it through the second qualifier) and EYESports.

That's not all as our Blizzcon World Champion is set to grab yet another World Championship - Byeon Hyeon 'ByuN' Woo made the qualification happen during the second of two Korean server qualifiers where he beat up the likes of soO, ByuL, GuMiho and Stats to qualify for the main event.

His group stage involvement will also begin on Thursday, March 2nd when all 24 main event participants are determined via the offline qualifier, where Aleksandr 'Bly' Svysiuk will try to fight for his spot in the main event.

Make sure to give your best in cheering all of them on as they strive to win yet another title for the expert family. We will, of course, keep you updated here as well as on Social Media about all things expert at IEM Katowice.
